Banana Hammocks Pool & Spa is a licensed, bonded, and insured general contractor specializing in custom gunite swimming pools, renovations, patios, outdoor kitchens, and complete outdoor living spaces throughout Central Arkansas.
As Arkansas' 1st Elite Pebble Tec Builder, we put in the 20-year finish — while most competitors are still doing plaster or quartz. We only build gunite pools with premium tile and coping — no vinyl, no fiberglass, no shortcuts.
Every project is personally overseen from start to finish, with warranty-backed subcontractors and an obsessive attention to detail that shows in every finished product.

From there, we run as one cohesive unit — we build it the way we designed it, not a version of it, not close enough. No middle managers. No handoffs. I'm in and out at every major step, and nothing gets turned over to you until it meets the standard I'd want on my own property.

A New Chapter
From Founder to Managing Owner
In the fall of 2023, Justin transitioned from co-founder and partner into full operational control of every finished product. By the beginning of 2024, he had taken over all aspects of the crews and construction projects so that every build could be meticulously crafted — where not a single detail could be missed, internally or cosmetically.
This transition brought a renewed focus on building relationships with warranty-backed subcontractors, streamlining operations, and ensuring that every client receives the hands-on, quality-first experience that Banana Hammocks was built on.
Since stepping into full control of every build, Justin's attention to detail has only sharpened. With 25+ years in the construction industry, his approach hasn't changed: do it right, do it once, and never cut corners.
More Than a Business
Building Pools. Fighting Cancer.
On April 1, 2025, our world was turned upside down. The owner's wife was diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma IDH-mutant and 1p/19q-codeleted — a rare form of stage 3 brain cancer. What started as the most challenging day imaginable became the beginning of an ongoing battle — one that has been fought with love, faith, and an incredible support system.
That fight continues to this day, and it has shaped everything about how we approach life and business. It taught us that life is short, relationships matter, and the work we do should mean something beyond the bottom line.
That is why Banana Hammocks Pool & Spa donates a portion of every project's proceeds to the American Brain Tumor Association. When you hire us, you're not just getting a premium pool builder — you're helping fund the fight against this devastating disease.
